San Diego County Crime Stoppers, along with the San Diego Police Department’s Homicide Unit, The Nice Guys of San Diego, and the family of Brandon Robinson, held a press conference this morning to unveil a new billboard publicizing a $51,000 reward for information on the murder of Brandon Robinson. The press conference took place near the billboard at 30th and El Cajon Blvd.
On September 6, 2009, at 8:24 p.m., a citizen reported hearing a gunshot in the Morley Field area of Balboa Park. Officers and paramedics found Brandon Robinson on the ground next to his motorcycle, suffering from a gunshot wound. Brandon died later that evening from his injury. The preliminary investigation has revealed that Brandon was attending a birthday party in the park when an unknown suspect fired a gun, striking and killing Brandon.
San Diego County Crime Stoppers and the San Diego Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance to identify and locate the person/persons responsible for the murder. There is a reward of up to $51,000 for information on the case. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 and the Governor’s Office is offering a reward of up to $50,000. The Crime Stoppers reward is paid on arrest; the Governor’s Office reward is paid on arrest and conviction.
