Unidentified Suspect Wanted for Grand Theft;
Surveillance Camera Captures Picture of Suspect
Up to $1,000 Reward Offered
San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Central Division are asking for assistance from the public to help identify and locate an unknown suspect wanted for grand theft.
Detectives said on February 29, 2012, at approximately 2:25 a.m., an unknown suspect stole a laptop computer from the front desk of the Ivy/Andaz Hotel located at 630 F Street in downtown San Diego. The suspect walked into the hotel while the front desk was unattended and left the scene on foot with the computer. Surveillance cameras captured several pictures of the suspect; see pictures of suspect on page two of this release.
Anyone with information on the identity and/or location of the suspect should call SDPD Central Division at (619) 744-9500 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477. The qualification of any person(s) for the reward and the amount of the reward for any person(s) so qualifying will be determined by San Diego County Crime Stoppers, Inc, in its sole discretion.
