Detectives Looking for Additional Victims and Witnesses in Fraud Case

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and detectives from the San Diego Police Department’s Western Division are looking for any additional victims and/or witnesses involving a fraud case in San Diego.

Detectives said 49-year-old Fadi Boulos Chaiban, also known as Eddie Morretti, Anthony Paul Marino, and Eddie Baker, has defrauded at least two separate women of approximately $169,000. Chaiban meets women on social web sites, dates, promises them a future and gets them to give him large amounts of money for investments.  He never makes any investments and is not heard from again.

If anyone has been involved in any relationship or investment with Chaiban where they believe he has taken money or goods from them, please contact San Diego Police Department Detective Jacques at 619-692-4833 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477.
