16-Year-Old Oceanside Resident

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and the Oceanside Police Department look for leads to help identify and locate the suspects involved in the homicide of a 16-year-old juvenile.
Detectives said on January 29, 2013, at 1:44 p.m., Police were dispatched to the intersection of Center Street and Division Street to investigate a possible stabbing. Police found a 16-year-old male victim lying on the ground in an apartment complex courtyard located at 230 South Weitzel Street. The victim was suffering from stab wounds to his upper torso. The victim was transported to a trauma center where he later died from his injuries. The name of the victim has not been released.

Officers found additional evidence of a crime scene on Center Street just around the corner from where the victim was located. Upon further investigation, detectives believe 5 to 6 Hispanic male juveniles or young adults were possibly involved in the stabbing. The possible suspects were last seen running from the crime scene southbound onto Horne St.
