San Diego County Crime Stoppers and the National City Police Department Homicide Unit continue to look for leads to help locate two homicide suspects wanted for the murder of Jesus Degalilea Pena.

Detectives said on March 23, 2013, at approximately 5:30 p.m., National City Police Department officers responded to calls of shots fired at the Carl’s Jr. located on Sweetwater Road in National City.  Officers located a victim, later identified as Jesus Degalilea Pena, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds from a high powered rifle; Pena died on scene.

Detectives have now identified two suspects, Manuel Joseph Castro and Henry Paul Castro, wanted for questioning for their involvement in the homicide.  Both suspects are considered armed and dangerous.

Suspect Descriptions:

  • Manuel Joseph Castro (DOB: 4-2-65) Hispanic male, 5’09” tall and approximately 180 lbs.
  • Henry Paul Castro (DOB: 4-2-64) Hispanic male, 5’09” tall and approximately 190 lbs.
